This give us an idea of making a dead woman on our front cover   as  we have death in our video as well.

The Cd cover of Julien is so cool that a women with blood, even she does not look like being dead. 

The photo is a cut in an action, which makes it so moving and active, liberate. 

They use strong color comparison between black and red. They might have used photoshop to make it more perfect. 

We will contain the blood, but not a front of woman, girls will kill us, and it is a mass. Because we need to thriller the audience not show how horrible the death is.

The CD is a close up of bed, which is related to the theme of video, so we could make our CD look like a photo of an important moment in our music video

This CD design is related to the red hot chili peppers color--RED! It is easy for audience to recognise. 

For us, we need to fill the expectation of fans for the style of the Rasmus, so they could recommend the band again. As the feature of the Rasmus is black and furs. we will remain it on our CD DIGIPAK COVER

we will add the song names on the back

we will take a picture of our leading role- Quincy's back instead of front, she will not be naked because she is not adult yet.

This picture is made through computer and remain the surreal style and theme of love from mother.
The CD could attract teenage boys.
Our idea is to show a CU of girl's back, but she is dead, and besides her body, there is a fur on the floor, which is the sign for the Rasmus.
Our target audience is teenage girls and boys, it will be a better idea for us to hide some of the fact, like who is dead? who killed her? Why? audience will be curious to see what will happen in the song.
Our back ground is going to be in black, which will match the rock genre.

The covers of Red Hot Chili Peppers have a style of unreality and cartoon, colorful covers. This are significant their style, giving audience a sense of nature but fantasy by upside down the sky and the sea. This make this cover outstanding among others.

This is the front page of the band and we will use this idea of our back page, because the Rasmus often use nature picture to  end.
To remain the surreal theme and make the picture not boring, we are going to red our red as well, this also could be a metaphor of love murder under the sun.
We will reduce the color in the iconography instead of make it more colorful because there is not many color in rasmus style.

The actually shooting

A few people were absent on the shooting day, Kenny has his brother's birthday party that day, and we could not ruin his birthday, so we gave her a chance to relax... The worse news was the actor for Cathy, has a family member dead the day before filming. We do not know what to say and what we should do, the girl do not want to disoppoint us again, but she has no other chance. We let her go. In this emergence, we changed the actor into a Chinese girl, katheria who is Quincy's close friend because she was going to company Quincy while filming. She is reliable and strong, but the problem was that was her first time she had been in front of the camera and what's more, we need her to cry.

The performance within Quincy and Femi  was conducted fluently and naturally, however, we have to specially take patience to teach  K how to act into the sad mood. Even we knew that acting is not important for examers, but the feelings between actors are influencial to the whole production,especially for editing. So we still require high emotion output that day, we even bought an eyedrop to help her, which was done by our assistant. Quincy has also taught her how to perform and showed her some examples. The team work actually made a great effect on K, we got what we want.

From filming on 29th, we learned how to direct different actors to explore the best performance on them. For example, the directing work for Quincy is quite easy because she is outgoing and creative, she has also watched plenty of American drama, in which the performance is very exaggrated. We only need to tell her the basic information within the scene, she could get into the mood quickly, what we need to do to her is control her movement within the camera and remend what she missed in the script. However, the directing for K has really challenged my nerve, she is active and positive, native and happy. These are all good personality but which was not fit into the mood. It is difficult for her to be really sad, we tried physically let her be hungery, psychologically remind her some sad news(maybe we should let kia do it, because she is really upset). leaving her alone, but these do not work, eventually, we changed our plan, to fit the actor. We changed the action at11:00, the close up of Cathy's crying face, into the anger face, what K need to do is stared at Quincy, this works much better than sadness. So as a result, we have to change the next action of begging Quincy as well, which is eventuelly she said nothing but better than everything. Changing as the situation is the mainly experience this time.

The shooting

The first problem we met is the actress for Cathy could not attend to our filming due to her dog's illness. The lucky part is that we have already make clear the list of actors in each scene so that we selected the actions without that actress. From this experience, we learned how to face the emergency absence of actor or actress. It is very important to change the plan but not follow it steadily.

The second problem we met is that we could not find the swan and the water is awful, we do not know what happened, so we have to film the action of feeding swan whenever we saw a swan in the river and catch its eyes by bread.

The third problem is the actress, who is filming the action to feed the swans and ducks, has a phobia towards any animal has fur on it. To solve it, we exchange the top of hers and our assistant Penny, who is a Chinese girl as well, let Penny feed the ducks, we only film her hand instead.

After solving all the problem and filming all we need, we showed actors about where we would meet next time---coffee shop. We plan to film this Wednesday, it is good to have a rest between shootings. 

Our filming day basically finished, we still need to carry on, but we had a wonderful experience in our memory. We knew the plan could not make to be too precise. Everything could happen out of plan, we need to be prepared to solve all the problems and control the situations. We need to learn how to stay calm and co-operate and how to make actors co-operate. we did a great a job today as our first filming of music video. The length of our film clip today is 5 minutes, which is not too long but full of value. WE LOVE MAKING FILMS.

Here are 2 video's by The Rasmus: 'Living in a world without you' and 'In the shadows' We are using ideas from both of these in our video's to relate to the artist. The more of a sexual theme seen in the first video will be the main theme of our video, with flashbacks and dream sequences similar to those seen in the second video.

Locations

Today we finalised 2 of our locations for our video. We found some nice scenery by a river at Castle Marina, perfect for a little romance! Also we asked a local coffee shop if we could do some filming in the near future and were given the OK to do so.

PITCH

From the feeback of teachers and audiences, we realized that we emphasis too much on the narrative line and ignored about performance part. Actually, we forgot to mention in the third location, the beginning of the video, after showing girl on bed is dead, the boy louri begin to sing the song when he is getting up. Then the camera zoom out, there is a whole band beside the bed playing. 

We plan to film it in the college theatre because it is big enough to put instruments in and convenient enough for actors to gather. We have asked the permission from the Drama teacher Gilly, she said the theatre is free in block E and A , directors are both free, we need to ask the free block of actors. The music department is on the opposite side of theatre, it is convenient for us to borrow some instruments from music department. 

During the whole production planning, we have learned a lot about organization of time for a group people which is very useful if we enter the film industry where we need to organize for much more people. We have learn how to communicate with actors and directors and workers as well, and how to find a proper location with permission in shortest time-walk in and ask them for permission.
